GLOBAL ASTRONOMY MONTH - ASTROPOTERY REPORT

Global Astronomy Month (GAM), organized in April every year by Astronomers Without Borders, is the world's largest global celebration of astronomy. For this year, SPACE has suggested several GAM events for conduction by SPACE associated schools.

HIGHLIGHTS:

• Total number of participants 65.
• Great platform for Astro-Poets.
• This program motivated the participants to make use of this international opportunity provided by SPACE for writing their Astro-Poems.
• Participants were instructed to fill online google forms by providing their details and presenting their poems.

DESCRIPTION:

Around 65 Students from various schools participated in this contest and they shared their passion towards astronomy and space science through their poems. The contest were opened for two grade levels

1. Grade 6 to 8
2. Grade 9 to 12

The poems wrote by the students were really exciting and revealed the beauty of the universe in different ways.
