The Marie Drake Planetarium is located in Juneau, Alaska. It is part of the Juneau School district and is run by volunteers.
For 26 years, free presentations have been given to the public, school classes and community groups. The topics reflect the knowledge and interests of volunteers.
It is run by The Friends of the Marie Drake Planetarium a non profit. The non profit supports the planetarium and promotes astronomy education for all ages.
Our Spitz projector turned 50 in 2017, and we are fundraising for a new projector.
We are also on Facebook.
